Love & The Barbershop

I love my barbershop. David’s. It’s on Market Street just before Cordeaux Avenue.

I just started going to them earlier this year after we took the boys from Shock Treatment Season 4 there to get their hair cuts before experience their “good day”. Drum Line is the Devil: Fred Ferguson Writes

Fred Ferguson is a supreme musician, culturalist and deep thinker. From his days in Baha Men to his music projects of today, whether it’s with his band Ting um Dem, or his production work with legendary Bahamian artists and groups, there is one common thread with him. Fred Ferguson is on a mission to keep what is real about Bahamian culture in place and expand on it. What’s more, he’s also made it his mission to help define what Bahamian culture is in a way most people may be afraid to try. The Haitian “Thing”

This past weekend was an eye opener for many people. It was an eye opener in the sense that many got to see the true colors of those we share space with but had no idea how they felt about us. This weekend has placed our country in a better position to see that when it comes to “The Haitian Thing”, there is definitely an “Us” versus “Them” thing going on.
